One of the most important physical characteristics in women is obviously the breast. The increasingly natural results of breast augmentation, thanks to the most sophisticated and advanced surgical techniques, are increasingly satisfying a large number of women around the world. This procedure consists of applying special prostheses, reshaping the shape and size of the breast to obtain a natural result. The prostheses used for breast augmentation are filled with cohesive silicone gel, a safe material, which not only guarantees a beautiful anatomical shape, but also gives a very natural sensation to the touch. Today, after over 50 years of research and experience in the operations of millions of women, there is absolute certainty of the result of these latest generation prostheses. Their duration is considered permanent (considering the age at which the procedure was performed). The breast will not have changed in its anatomical naturalness but the changes it will undergo over time could make it necessary to reshape and possibly replace the prostheses, but at least 10 - 15 years after the first operation. However, most women are satisfied with the result even 30 years after the operation. It has already been scientifically proven that breast augmentation and silicone implants do not increase the risk of breast cancer, do not change the integrity of the mammary glands and the ability to breastfeed the baby and do not affect the functioning of the immune system. Breast augmentation surgery is possible at the end of normal physical maturity and for this reason, in general, there are no contraindications starting from the age of 18 – 20 years.
