Undoubtedly, the breast is the feature most closely linked to the image of femininity. With growth and physical development, especially during puberty, the breast undergoes rapid enlargement within a short time. The state of breast hypertrophy, especially if too accentuated, could cause disorders that are not only aesthetic but also functional, painful skin tension, curvature and deformations of the spine, inflammation and pain of the back muscles, skin infections and eczema. In addition to this, breastfeeding is often made difficult or impossible, given that during pregnancy, a voluminous breast undergoes an even more exaggerated increase, as a consequence of hormonal stimulation. For a rapid aesthetic, psychological and functional recovery, reduction mammoplasty is used, a surgical procedure recommended even before the age of 18. Normally this operation does not negatively affect the ability to breastfeed, but depending on the initial condition of the breast and the technique applied, in some cases breastfeeding may no longer be possible. This procedure involves the reasonable reduction of excessive volume and the reshaping of the remaining part of the breast, which consists of the repositioning of the glands, the areola and the nipple. The result of the surgery is usually PERMANENT.
